Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, maintain, and troubleshoot software components and services that address business and user requirements.
Implement well-scoped features and enhancements using established coding standards, architectural patterns, and development practices.
Write maintainable code and contribute to application reliability, scalability, performance, and quality through peer reviews and testing.
Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to execute planned initiatives and deliver solutions on schedule.
Debug software defects and production issues and apply root-cause analysis within the assigned area.
Participate in requirements refinement, design, development, testing, deployment, support, documentation, and the broader software development lifecycle.
Apply secure coding practices, testing strategies, and team documentation standards.
Provide direction and mentorship to less experienced teammates.

Bachelor’s degree and three to seven years of experience, or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience.
In-depth information systems knowledge and the ability to apply IT best practices, plan and manage projects, and solve complex problems.
Experience with AWS, Python, and SQL databases.
Preferred: degree in computer science, mathematics, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
Preferred: banking or financial services experience; strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software design, analytical debugging, and enterprise application development.
Preferred: experience building and scaling high-quality applications or services, using open-source tools and frameworks, and working with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Preferred: knowledge of SOA or Open API service architectures, relational database design, SQL, stored procedures, data modeling, MQ, JMS, Git, Maven, Jenkins, and comprehensive unit and integration testing.
