Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain AkesoLIMS features supporting laboratory operations and workflows.
- Build and support backend and frontend application functionality using ASP.NET, MVC, C#, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs for integrations and application functionality.
- Design and optimize database interactions in SQL Server.
- Use GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, and other AI-assisted tools to improve development efficiency, code quality, and documentation.
- Partner with laboratory staff to understand workflows, pain points, and process requirements.
- Collaborate with project management to define scope, requirements, priorities, and delivery plans.
- Troubleshoot defects, support production issues, and improve reliability and performance.
- Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and development best practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience with C# and application development using ASP.NET and MVC.
- Experience developing REST APIs with C#, Python, or Node.js.
- Strong SQL Server skills, including writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting SQL queries and database objects.
- Frontend development experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude.
- Ability to contribute across backend and frontend development and translate user and operational needs into software solutions.
- Ability to collaborate with laboratory staff, project management, and other cross-functional partners.
- Knowledge of laboratory workflows or experience with LIMS platforms is a bonus.
- Experience with Python, familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, and additional AI software development or prototyping tools are preferred.
