Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable web applications using React and Python.
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and data-driven applications.
- Develop responsive user interfaces and dashboards.
- Design and optimize SQL databases and data integrations.
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps, and Engineering teams to deliver solutions.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments.
- Use generative AI tools to improve development, testing, debugging, documentation, and SDLC processes.
- Drive software design, code quality, security, and maintainability best practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with alternate minimum qualification paths for candidates with a PhD or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience as stated in the role description; the formal minimum qualifications list 4+ years with a bachelor’s degree, 3+ with a master’s, or 2+ with a PhD.
- Strong Python programming and React frontend development experience.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Experience with SQL databases such as SQL Server or MySQL.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, modern development practices, debugging, and problem-solving.
- Ability and curiosity to use AI in day-to-day engineering and improve SDLC processes.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Azure, AWS, GCP, generative AI, LLM APIs, Copilot, AI-assisted development tools, data-intensive applications, dashboards, analytics platforms, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
- At least 2 years of work experience with a programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Python under the formal minimum qualifications.
