Base Salary
$129k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and document software module requirements, designs, specifications, implementations, unit tests, and verification and validation activities.
- Design, develop, and recommend next-generation platforms for cloud and on-premise deployments.
- Develop deployment systems for interdependent applications running on Linux and Kubernetes.
- Investigate and fix product defects, assist with escalated customer support investigations, and participate in artifact, design, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with customers and cross-functional technical and clinical staff to gather requirements, understand constraints, and troubleshoot product issues.
- Mentor team members, provide technical guidance, and communicate process improvements.
- Prepare technical reports, plans, specifications, test descriptions, hazard analyses, and related engineering documentation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of related software development experience.
- Undergraduate or college degree or better in computer science or an equivalent discipline, or equivalent industry-related experience.
- Experience with Bash shell, Coreutils, Perl, Python, Go, Rust, and Java.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Podman, AKS, OpenShift, Azure, AWS, GCP, Oracle Database, and SQL.
- Ability to work within Agile or iterative development models and learn parts of large, complex systems.
- Preferred experience with Linux SuSE, Heartbeat, Pacemaker, VLANs, switches, load balancing, RAID, NAS, NFS, SAN, Git, Jenkins, Make, Gradle, DICOM, HL7, RPM packaging, Apache, and Tomcat.
- Preferred knowledge of software-intensive systems, software requirements and design engineering, disciplined engineering processes, and Microsoft Office or comparable productivity tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
