Base Salary
$138k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deploy and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud and network systems.
- Automate new cloud service deployments and work within large-scale cloud-based infrastructure.
- Monitor and troubleshoot cloud services to meet SLAs and maintain adequate capacity.
- Analyze logs, events, and diagnostic data to identify infrastructure issues and recommend operational improvements.
- Improve the security, stability, speed, and capacity of Akamai’s network and implement security vulnerability fixes.
- Perform root cause analysis and provide production support.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Telecommunications Engineering.
- Two years of experience in the offered role or a closely related engineering role.
- Two years of experience with production support, system logs, diagnostic data collection, and root cause analysis.
- Two years of experience reviewing and implementing security vulnerability fixes and working with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Salt, Python, Bash, GitLab, Linux, Jira, and Confluence.
