Responsibilities
- Monitor customer-facing and revenue-critical applications and respond to production events.
- Manage incidents, including communication, escalation, coordination, and resolution.
- Use observability, data analysis, and situational awareness to identify operational risks.
- Deploy applications and review application readiness, supportability, observability, and release maturity.
- Troubleshoot application, infrastructure, platform, cloud, container, database, networking, Linux, and Windows issues.
- Build automation, scripts, and operational tools to reduce manual effort and operational toil.
- Recommend and review changes that improve performance, availability, scalability, reliability, and supportability.
- Partner with engineering, support, and operations teams to improve incident outcomes and production readiness.
- Apply AI tools responsibly to improve troubleshooting, documentation review, pattern detection, automation design, and operational insight.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience supporting large-scale cloud solutions in an enterprise production environment.
- At least 2 years of experience with production deployments, monitoring, incident response, and operational communications.
- Experience troubleshooting applications and cloud infrastructure in Linux and Windows environments.
- Expertise with containerized applications or Kubernetes and experience with SQL and database services.
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Perl.
- Experience using automation to improve quality, consistency, speed, or operational efficiency.
- Experience with performance diagnostics, capacity planning, performance monitoring, or tuning.
- Applied experience using AI tools such as Glean, ChatGPT, Claude, or similar platforms.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for incident coordination and cross-team collaboration.
