Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture and delivery of modular backend, frontend, and integration add-ons.
- Design and implement advanced Laravel backend logic using middleware, queues, events, and authorization policies.
- Build complex database schemas and optimize performance for high-traffic e-commerce environments.
- Oversee Vue.js micro-frontend integration using SingleSpa while maintaining performance and UX consistency.
- Lead CI/CD, semantic versioning, Docker-based environments, release processes, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Act as technical lead and final reviewer, mentor engineers, and enforce code quality and architectural standards.
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted and agentic coding workflows with production guardrails and quality practices.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building, scaling, and operating complex fullstack web applications in production.
- Expert proficiency in PHP 8.x and Laravel, including middleware, queues, events, and gates/policies.
- Strong frontend development experience; Vue.js 3, TypeScript, and Pinia experience are highly valued.
- Deep experience designing secure, multi-tenant, distributed systems with long-term maintainability.
- Advanced database and performance engineering experience with MySQL/RDS, schema design, indexing, and Redis caching.
- Experience with Docker environments, CI/CD pipelines, semantic versioning, AWS infrastructure, and production monitoring and alerting.
- Strong technical leadership skills, including mentoring, code reviews, problem decomposition, and communicating business impact.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted and agentic coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor, plus an interest in evaluating new AI tools and models.
