Responsibilities
- Learn and communicate how Metronome addresses monetization challenges in modern software stacks.
- Plan, build, and run customized product demonstrations for engineering, product, operations, finance, and other buyer personas.
- Conduct discovery to understand prospect challenges and requirements.
- Travel to prospects for workshops, conferences, and on-site meetings worldwide.
- Run proofs of concept with clearly defined success criteria and drive technical wins.
- Represent Solutions Engineering independently as a deal team member.
- Scope customer implementations and design Metronome integrations into prospect systems.
- Advise prospects on pricing and packaging and contribute to future product direction.
- Build relationships with prospect stakeholders ranging from operators to C-suite executives.
- Improve go-to-market playbooks and processes.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in technical or customer-facing SaaS roles, such as engineering, solutions, technical account management, or consulting.
- Academic background in a technical area is sought after.
- Exceptional communication skills with technical, go-to-market, and finance stakeholders.
- Ability to learn quickly, adapt in fast-moving startup environments, and take high ownership.
- Passion for taking initiative and completing both large and small tasks.
- Excitement for building and improving go-to-market playbooks and processes.
- Bonus: knowledge of quote-to-cash, including Salesforce, NetSuite, or CPQs.
- Bonus: experience as a software engineer, product manager, or in another technical role.
- Bonus: experience selling to technical buyers or working as an early-stage salesperson.
- Bonus: experience with logs, metrics, billing, finance, infrastructure tooling, or related concepts.
