Responsibilities
- Own the lifecycle of CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code approaches for network and infrastructure automation.
- Design and manage cloud and hybrid network architectures involving VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing, peering, load balancing, DNS, and traffic routing.
- Automate network provisioning and infrastructure configuration using Cisco NSO, Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
- Implement secure network designs using firewalls, VPNs, Zero Trust models, and segmentation.
- Integrate networking into CI/CD pipelines and automate environment setup, builds, testing, releases, and deployments.
- Monitor network health and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues across distributed environments using observability tools.
- Drive adoption of container networking, Kubernetes CNI, and service meshes.
- Maintain Cisco NSO applications and service packages and serve as the primary resource for NSO topics and issues.
- Research and implement technologies that improve infrastructure automation, network performance, and development processes.
- Consult with project teams, develop proof-of-concept solutions, mentor team members, and collaborate with security, platform, development, ServiceNow, and vendor teams.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Information Technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in complex distributed automation environments and the ability to reason about end-to-end service models.
- Experience with Cisco NSO and Python, including strong Python 3 object-oriented programming skills and transactional systems.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining Cisco NSO service packages, with deep knowledge of NSO architecture, CFS/RFS service models, FASTMAP, and service plan lifecycles.
- Experience with network automation frameworks such as Cisco NSO, Ansible, Terraform, and Python.
- Ability to work with APIs and data models including REST, JSON, and YANG.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks; Robot Framework is preferred.
- Strong understanding of network architecture and networking fundamentals including L2/L3, BGP, VPNs, IPsec, VRF, and segmentation.
- Experience in a Network Operations or Network Engineering environment.
- Experience with Cisco ACI, IOS-XE, and NX-OS.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and release governance for multi-service network automation platforms.
- Good Linux knowledge, including scripting and containerized environments.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, collaborate across teams, mentor and coach colleagues, and work in English at Upper Intermediate (B2) level.
