Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to understand challenges and build supporting tools and platforms.
- Continuously improve machine learning development environments, platforms, and tooling for data science initiatives.
- Work with Cyber Security, Data Privacy, and governance functions to secure AI infrastructure without obstructing productivity.
- Adapt machine learning methods for distributed clusters, multicore SMP, and GPU environments.
- Promote a production-first mindset that scales exploratory research into production systems.
- Create tools, standards, and automation for commonly used machine learning product lifecycle tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree in computer science or a related quantitative or analytical field.
- At least 3 years of experience building and delivering software with Python, with exceptional ability in other programming languages considered.
- Demonstrable software engineering and DevOps automation experience.
- Experience developing and deploying production-grade machine learning products, or exceptional ability in other software engineering domains.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with at least one container orchestration framework such as Airflow, Argo, or Kubeflow, or willingness to learn.
- Experience deploying infrastructure and tooling for machine learning or data science at scale using Infrastructure as Code.
- Experience working in an Agile team and with internal security standards and frameworks.
- Creative, collaborative, and resilient approach to working across multidisciplinary teams.
