Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end enterprise integrations across Apigee, Kafka, microservices, APIs, event streams, and message queues.
- Design and deploy API-led integrations for ERP, MES, WMS, EDI, B2B, manufacturing, supply-chain, and partner systems.
- Define API design standards, REST/OpenAPI governance, reusable integration patterns, and API security practices.
- Integrate Kafka, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge components with enterprise API layers.
- Drive API observability, performance, throttling, caching, analytics, and monitoring.
- Partner with manufacturing, supply-chain, business, and application teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Evaluate API management tooling including Kong as platform needs evolve.
- Mentor teams on API design, integration best practices, and enterprise governance.
Requirements
- 16–20 years of experience in integration architecture with a strong focus on API management.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Apigee and AWS API Gateway, including policies, security, and lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of APIs, events, messaging queues, and enterprise integration landscapes.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and supply-chain domain integrations.
- Solid AWS cloud architecture experience across compute, networking, and security.
- Experience with OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, API security standards, governance frameworks, and architecture documentation.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and client-interfacing skills.
- Preferred experience with Kong API Gateway, Kafka, AWS MSK, AWS Flink, SQS, Spring Boot microservices on AWS ECS, and B2B EDI integration tools.
- Preferred AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional and at least one API management or Kafka-related certification.
