Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end enterprise integrations based on Apigee, Kafka, and microservices platforms.
- Gather requirements and design, develop, and deploy integrations across enterprise applications.
- Design integration landscapes connecting APIs, event streams, and message queues.
- Define API-led connectivity patterns for manufacturing and supply chain systems, including ERP, MES, WMS, EDI, and partner connectivity.
- Establish API design standards, OpenAPI governance frameworks, and reusable integration patterns.
- Guide event-driven and queue-based integrations using Kafka, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.
- Translate manufacturing, supply chain, and operational requirements into scalable integration solutions.
- Drive API security, observability, performance, throttling, caching, analytics, and monitoring.
- Evaluate API management tooling, including Kong, as platform needs evolve.
- Mentor teams on API design best practices and enterprise integration governance.
Requirements
- 16–20 years of experience in integration architecture with a strong focus on API Management.
- Deep hands-on expertise with Apigee and AWS API Gateway, including policies, security, and lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of APIs, events, messaging queues, and enterprise integration landscapes.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain domain integrations.
- Strong AWS cloud architecture experience across compute, networking, and security.
- Experience with OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, API security standards, and API governance frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, client interfacing, and architecture documentation skills.
- Preferred experience with Kong API Gateway, Kafka, AWS MSK, AWS Flink, SQS, Spring Boot microservices on AWS ECS, and B2B EDI integration tools.
- Preferred AWS Solutions Architect and Apigee certifications, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or an API management or Kafka-related certification.
