Responsibilities
- Use AI and agentic workflows for design, prototyping, code generation, test-case creation, documentation, and automated validation.
- Own end-to-end solution delivery across discovery and delivery tracks, including prototypes, technical designs, implementation, delivery sign-off, and post-release support.
- Create technical artifacts including ADRs, interface contracts, data models, sequencing diagrams, migration and rollback plans, and traceability matrices.
- Lead client engagements by facilitating workshops, presenting solutions, making technical trade-offs, securing approvals, and serving as a platform subject-matter expert.
- Personally implement complex features and critical components, review implementation-team deliverables, and enforce code quality and non-functional requirements.
- Mentor engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and example-driven leadership, including AI-assisted development and platform practices.
- Contribute to platform strategy, reusable assets, API-first designs, risk mitigation, and technical investment decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience, with 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience building cloud-native, microservices, or event-driven systems with Azure or an equivalent cloud platform.
- Strong proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React or Vue, and end-to-end solution delivery.
- Experience with REST, OpenAPI, messaging platforms, relational and non-relational databases, CI/CD, containerization, Docker, Kubernetes, deployment tooling, and automated testing.
- Practical experience using generative AI and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and Cursor.
- Experience building production code, prototypes, and reference implementations, as well as owning design, implementation, and post-release operations for medium-to-large projects.
- Strong stakeholder communication, workshop facilitation, technical presentation, mentoring, code review, and engineering-practice leadership skills.
- Preferred qualifications include retail platform knowledge, POS and store-operations experience, Azure Developer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect certification, security and compliance expertise, Dual-Track Agile experience, platform strategy, reusable assets, and API-first design experience.
