Base Salary
$167k - $209k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, testing, and optimization of scalable network services and tools.
- Build control-plane and data-plane software, APIs, and distributed systems for Network Products.
- Collaborate across Networking and other teams to define API contracts and develop new products and services.
- Support existing products and improve stability, performance, monitoring, reliability, and customer experience.
- Establish development and architecture best practices and improve delivery processes.
- Automate software delivery from development through scalable production operation.
- Mentor and help grow engineers within the Networking organization.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a software architect and lead developer building scalable, real-time, and distributed systems.
- Significant experience programming in Go and writing unit tests.
- Networking domain knowledge, with some experience in data-plane programming such as eBPF and XDP.
- Experience leading cross-team work to build API contracts.
- Experience with cloud development, containerization, virtualization, and continuous integration and delivery.
- A record of improving stability, performance, and scalability across business-critical systems.
- Experience automating delivery of high-quality, tested, production-ready software.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or relevant equivalent experience.
- Experience with gRPC, Firewall, DNS, Network Monitoring systems, Temporal, or Kafka is a bonus.
