Base Salary
$202k - $223k/yr
Responsibilities
- Reduce the latency and cost of Asana’s AI retrieval systems.
- Improve the quality and relevance of search results.
- Expand retrieval capabilities to new Asana objects and third-party data sources.
- Build and optimize search infrastructure using OpenSearch and Elasticsearch.
- Contribute to embeddings-based retrieval and semantic search features.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in New York City and Warsaw-based engineering peers.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience writing production code.
- Hands-on search engineering experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch.
- Experience with embeddings and machine learning approaches to search and retrieval.
- Curiosity about AI and technology and willingness to use emerging AI tools in work.
- Experience in an applied AI role is preferred.
