Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support Zephyr RTOS for ARM and RISC-V in Qualcomm SoCs.
- Develop and enhance core platform kernel software for resource-constrained processors.
- Enhance operating-system support for new SoC features, power savings, security, and customer functionality.
- Perform RTOS development, LLDB/debugger development, and safe RTOS development.
- Work with concurrency mechanisms and multi-threaded and multi-process environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; or a master's degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a related field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- 3-5 years of software engineering or related work experience.
- 3-5 years of experience with C and Python.
- 3+ years of Assembly language experience and 3+ years working with ARM or RISC-V processors.
- 3+ years of experience with embedded real-time operating systems.
- Knowledge of processor architecture, cache, interrupts, memory barriers, and strong ordering.
- Experience using emulator and simulator environments, LLDB/JTAG debuggers, and profilers.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and debugging skills, with knowledge of pointers and data structures.
- Thorough RTOS knowledge, including mutexes, spinlocks, queues, signaling, events, deferred function calls, callbacks, and concurrency scenarios.
