Base Salary
$187k - $234k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient, secure, testable, and maintainable engineering solutions.
- Lead project priorities, deadlines, technical solutions, and direction.
- Design and develop Addepar’s strategic trading products, including rebalancing, OMS, and IBOR capabilities.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, partners, product teams, and design teams.
- Represent engineering to clients and product support and guide communications from an engineering perspective.
- Communicate technical ideas and solve business challenges through technical direction.
- Mentor and educate other engineers.
- Provide active support for business needs during U.S. hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Expert-level backend development skills, especially in Java.
- Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures.
- Deep knowledge of software design patterns, API design, and the software development lifecycle.
- Proven ability to influence technical direction and contribute significantly to complex distributed-systems architecture.
- Expertise with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and experience with automated infrastructure and service-oriented architecture.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and amplifying technical impact.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and related technologies is preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship and able to begin work on the first day.

- Base salary range of $187,000-$234,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
