Base Salary
$157k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and sustain scalable software and infrastructure for LiveRamp’s privacy-focused data collaboration ecosystem.
- Lead technical strategy and global deployment of distributed platform components and backend services.
- Translate product requirements into execution plans, engineering roadmaps, and measurable goals.
- Lead architecture reviews and promote security, maintainability, reliability, testing, and operational best practices.
- Partner with security, privacy, product, and engineering stakeholders to deliver high-impact capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership, design feedback, code mentorship, and guidance to engineering talent.
- Improve developer efficiency through operational workflow improvements, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
- Use performance metrics and operational analytics to prioritize roadmap work and improve product quality.
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and prevent outages to maintain high availability for mission-critical services.
- Influence cross-organizational platform investments and engineering strategy.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including deploying and managing large-scale production environments.
- Extensive experience architecting, implementing, and maintaining high-scale backend services and distributed systems.
- Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams or complex workstreams.
- Strong ability to write robust, clean code in one or more modern programming languages.
- Deep knowledge of system architecture, API design, data modeling, and service-oriented frameworks.
- Experience applying rigorous testing, peer reviews, observability, and operational best practices.
- Ability to turn ambiguous technical challenges into actionable roadmaps and phased execution plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence technical strategy.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
- Preferred experience with high-volume data pipelines, workflow orchestration, cloud-native infrastructure, containerized deployment pipelines, privacy-centric architectures, data clean rooms, analytical frameworks, or large-scale data platforms.
- Preferred experience with security protocols, regulatory compliance, privacy standards, technical mentorship, code quality, process refinement, and long-term platform strategy.
