Base Salary

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end automated test suites covering complete UI, API, and backend workflows.
  • Develop AI-assisted test authoring, generative test planning, intelligent triage, and scalable automation coverage.
  • Build and own daily smoke and build-acceptance tests across development and staging environments.
  • Lead production smoke testing, monitoring-driven verification, and continuous post-deployment validation.
  • Create golden-dataset regression tests for ML pipeline services and validate algorithmic outputs against reference cases.
  • Automate testing for the WebGL-based 3D Web Viewer and Clinical/CaseOps UIs, including visual regression of 3D rendering and view generation.
  • Author traceable test plans, protocols, reports, test cases, and evidence compliant with regulated medical-device QMS expectations.
  • Perform validation of test infrastructure and automation tools under applicable QMS procedures and standards.
  • Extend Selenium and Playwright frameworks for stability, parallelism, reuse, and reduced test flakiness.
  • Standardize API and integration testing, including DICOM ingestion and HL7 output validation at hospital and cloud boundaries.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, and RA/QA teams to translate requirements into verifiable test cases and audit evidence.
  • Triage and root-cause failures across distributed systems, drive defects to resolution, and support defect-prevention initiatives.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and provide fast, actionable feedback.
  • Support audits, CAPAs, and regulatory submissions with test evidence, traceability, and documentation.
  • Coordinate offshore and contractor test engineers, mentor Test Engineers, and contribute to hiring as the team grows.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in software test engineering, SDET, or quality engineering with strong hands-on automation experience.
  • Direct experience testing Software as a Medical Device or other regulated medical device software.
  • Working knowledge of medical-device QMS practices and standards including ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and 21 CFR Part 820.
  • Strong proficiency with Selenium/WebDriver and Playwright, including framework design, page-object patterns, stability, and flake reduction.
  • Experience designing and maintaining E2E automation frameworks for complete workflows and system integrations.
  • Experience authoring traceable test plans, protocols, and reports in regulated environments.
  • Practical experience with AI-assisted testing, self-healing automation, LLM-driven test generation, or intelligent test triage.
  • Solid Python programming skills plus at least one additional automation language such as TypeScript/JavaScript, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as REST Assured, Postman, Karate, or Pact.io and familiarity with contract testing.
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and working with cloud environments such as AWS.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, root-cause analysis, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred experience with Ketryx, Jama, Polarion, DICOM, HL7, regulatory audits, ML/AI systems, clinical validation, medical imaging, visualizations, test datasets, offshore coordination, performance testing, data-pipeline testing, microservices, and quality metrics.

  • Base salary range of $165,000 to $205,000, plus bonus and equity.
