Base Salary
$170k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop internal datacenter tooling for facilities managers and capacity planners.
- Create automation software to deploy and configure servers, network switches, PDUs, and CDUs.
- Implement features that improve infrastructure management, resource utilization, reliability, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cloud support and operations teams to develop tools that enable organizational growth.
- Contribute to architecture and design for scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Mentor junior engineers through design guidance and code reviews.
- Partner cross-functionally and lead by example in technical excellence and infrastructure tooling innovation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience in a modern compiled language such as Go, Rust, Java, or C++.
- At least 5 years of experience contributing to architecture and design of new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling considerations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 5–8+ years of equivalent experience.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
- Experience building and maintaining scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Understanding of infrastructure design and operational trade-offs.
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions and build systems.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
- Experience with concurrency, multithreading, and synchronization.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments, TCP/IP, and network programming.
- Excellent communication skills and alignment with company values.
- Experience with large-scale datacenter or cloud environments, GPU clusters, high-performance computing, infrastructure observability, or monitoring systems is preferred.
