Base Salary
$270k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve high-scale data platforms, storage solutions, and transformation patterns.
- Define the long-term data infrastructure roadmap while balancing immediate needs with a 6–12 month strategic horizon.
- Lead implementation of data contracts and schema-evolution practices across product teams.
- Troubleshoot complex data-pipeline bottlenecks and improve observability and performance at scale.
- Advise senior leadership on strategic investments in the data stack.
- Mentor senior engineers, lead cross-functional task forces, and promote engineering excellence.
- Develop architectural patterns and reference implementations for company-wide adoption.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading large-scale data engineering initiatives in global, high-growth technology environments.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems and data-processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink, or Kafka.
- Experience with modern cloud data warehousing.
- Ability to independently design scalable solutions for complex data problems.
- Demonstrated ability to connect technical decisions to business drivers such as operational efficiency and customer acquisition costs.
- Track record of identifying architectural gaps and implementing fixes with high autonomy.
- Experience with MLOps and supporting machine-learning workflows at scale is preferred.
- Experience in financial services or FinTech is preferred.
