Base Salary

$60k - $85k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build and improve agentic development workflows and related team tooling.
  • Design and implement scalable software in Rust, TypeScript, and Node.js across greenfield and legacy systems.
  • Own features end to end from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment, production support, and validation.
  • Develop and refine APIs, webhooks, and other integration surfaces for courier and orchestration functionality.
  • Drive quality through unit and integration testing, code review, CI pipelines, checks, and automated quality gates.
  • Refactor and simplify code to improve maintainability and long-term system health.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and participate in the on-call rotation.
  • Collaborate with product and cross-functional partners in an Agile/Scrum cadence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on professional software engineering experience building, shipping, and operating production-quality systems.
  • At least 3 years of professional Rust experience as a primary day-to-day language.
  • At least 2 years of professional TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js experience.
  • Experience personally owning features through production deployment and support.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, database fundamentals, API design, and testing.
  • Experience creating, configuring, fine-tuning, or troubleshooting CI pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
  • Hands-on experience writing unit and integration tests.
  • Experience with disciplined agentic software development workflows and complete development orchestrations.
  • Familiarity with cloud service design patterns and modern software architecture.
  • Professional experience collaborating in English on an international, distributed team, with excellent written and spoken English.
  • Preferred experience includes QA, SDET, or test engineering; ownership of testing or quality; Test-Driven Development; React and frontend development; AWS and cloud-native services; microservices and containerization; and NoSQL or other modern data-storage technologies.
