Responsibilities
- Design and ship full-stack features using Prisma models, SQL migrations, GraphQL SDL and resolvers, backend services, Jest tests, and Ant Design screens.
- Develop and maintain multi-tenant data access, tenant provisioning and cloning, licensing, and module enablement.
- Build and operate scheduling and work-queue systems involving job allocation, worker claiming, retries, stale-job recovery, concurrency, locking, and idempotency.
- Improve frontend test coverage, query performance, observability, code quality, system reliability, and production support.
- Integrate backend services with AWS or GCP and contribute to CI/CD, build, and deployment processes.
- Write release documentation and maintain internal runbooks.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams in an Agile Scrum environment.
- Troubleshoot development and production issues and follow established coding standards and internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 3–4 years of experience building and operating production web applications.
- Experience using TypeScript with Node.js and React, and hands-on experience with Node.js and Java for APIs or microservices.
- Production experience designing and maintaining schema-first GraphQL APIs, including authorization directives, pagination, and N+1 avoidance.
- Knowledge of database schema design, migrations, indexes, views, query plans, PostgreSQL, Prisma or a comparable ORM, and raw SQL.
- Experience building React data-dense screens with component libraries such as Ant Design and familiarity with charting libraries.
- Experience building or maintaining background-job systems with queues, schedulers, workers, retries, locking, race-condition handling, and tests.
- Daily Docker use and experience deploying and debugging services on AWS, including ECS, RDS, and S3, or comparable cloud platforms.
- Experience with Jest, fixture-based service tests, CI/CD pipelines, Git, REST APIs, and version control.
- Experience with AWS or GCP, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, Groovy scripting, Agile/Scrum, and containerization technologies.
- Strong problem-solving, written communication, collaboration, attention to detail, independent decision-making, and production troubleshooting skills.
- Preferred experience with RedwoodJS or CedarJS, GraphQL Yoga, Envelop plugins, GraphQL subscriptions, MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, Azure Integration Services, Redis, nginx, supervisord, Bitbucket Pipelines, OWASP, CWE, SOC 2, ISO 27001, LLM API integration, Model Context Protocol servers, and customer-facing documentation.
