Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend services for the core marketplace platform.
- Develop and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP using Terraform.
- Build integrations with utility data sources, supplier APIs, and third-party services.
- Create robust data pipelines for real-time rate monitoring and market intelligence.
- Partner with product and cross-functional teams to translate needs into resilient experiences.
- Collaborate closely with a small team to ensure fast code deployment and impactful architectural decisions.
- Leverage AI tools and workflows to enhance team capabilities.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience with production systems at scale.
- Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, particularly with Node.js.
- Hands-on experience managing cloud environments, preferably GCP.
- Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure-as-code.
- Comfort with databases, API design, and async processing patterns.
- Fluency in AI tools and eagerness to innovate in AI-augmented development.
- Interest in energy, climate tech, or marketplace products is a strong plus.
