Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and enhance OIGChat and pilot AI applications using model-routing architectures, API patterns, prompt handling, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, and approved AI services.
- Implement AI guardrails, safety controls, logging, model access patterns, validation frameworks, and security controls to prevent data leakage and unauthorized use.
- Build AI/ML pipelines that consume governed enterprise datasets while maintaining data lineage, quality, and compliance.
- Develop AI-assisted investigative analytics for trend identification, anomaly detection, link analysis, pattern recognition, eDiscovery, translation, and transcription.
- Implement model versioning, monitoring, performance tracking, automated validation, and production AI operations capabilities.
- Prototype and test AI approaches on limited datasets before enterprise implementation.
- Develop secure AI application coding practices, including input validation, error handling, and sensitive data protection.
- Create prompting guidance, AI-enabled workflows, demonstrations, troubleshooting guides, and training content.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders, data engineers, platform teams, and security specialists within an Agile delivery framework.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus 15 years of experience in artificial intelligence, machine learning, software engineering, or a related field; stated equivalencies include a master's degree plus 12 years, 21 years without a degree, or an associate degree plus 17 years.
- Extensive hands-on experience developing AI/ML applications, with deep expertise in LLMs, generative AI, and prompt engineering.
- Production experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services, or equivalent platforms such as AWS Bedrock or Google Vertex AI.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
- Experience designing secure, governed AI solutions with guardrails, validation frameworks, monitoring, and enterprise data-platform integration.
- Preferred experience developing AI solutions for federal government, law enforcement, investigative, or national security applications.
- Preferred hands-on experience with RAG architectures, vector databases, semantic search, and knowledge graph integration.
- Preferred background in NLP, text analytics, entity extraction, sentiment analysis, or investigative analytics.
