Responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance critical distributed services using Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ, and related technologies.
- Develop software modules, client libraries, and SDKs for streaming, messaging, caching, and NoSQL platforms.
- Deploy, operate, tune, and optimize distributed services across Kubernetes, OpenStack, bare metal, AWS, GCP, and private cloud environments.
- Build observability modules, alerts, automation, and dashboard lifecycle-management capabilities.
- Evaluate open-source and cloud-native technologies, support production systems through on-call rotation, and promote resiliency and operational excellence.
- Lead distributed-systems platform capabilities from inception through deployment, adoption, and maintenance.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience administering Kafka, Redis, or RabbitMQ with cloud-platform experience for the senior qualification path.
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with Java, Scala, or Golang for the senior qualification path.
- At least 4 years of distributed-systems experience and 3+ years designing and operating large-scale NoSQL and messaging deployments.
- At least 1 year leading a NoSQL-related product from conception through deployment and maintenance.
- Demonstrated technical project leadership, distributed-systems development and performance optimization expertise, and experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, or Cassandra.
- Experience inspecting complex open-source service internals, using Chef, deploying to Kubernetes with Helm and ArgoCD, and tuning Linux system internals.
- Preferred experience includes EU Sovereign Cloud or other regulated environments, platform security controls, compliance frameworks, disaster recovery, and operational resilience.

- Base salary for the Ireland location is €96,000–€144,000 EUR, with possible bonus and annual refresh stock grants.
