Responsibilities
- Build and maintain an internal skills marketplace and AI distribution platform for Xero engineers.
- Own initiatives end to end from early experimentation through production operation.
- Develop guidance and best practices for authoring agent skills, including remediation-task agents.
- Create runbooks, monitoring, and rollback approaches to support reliable production systems.
- Collaborate with AWS, Microsoft, and GitHub on early-access technology.
- Help shape the technical direction of the AI Enablement team and guide engineering decisions.
Requirements
- Hands-on software engineering experience, ideally with C#, .NET, and AWS.
- Experience building internal tools or platforms relied upon by other engineers.
- Strong production discipline, including runbooks, monitoring, and rollback planning.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to bring stakeholders along with technical ideas.
- Curiosity about coding agents, AI-native tools, and the direction of AI engineering.
- Ability to challenge decisions directly and respectfully and learn in a structured, quality-focused way.
