Responsibilities
- Build and maintain messaging integration capabilities, tools, and platform services for engineering teams.
- Develop, deploy, and support quality Go and C# software in production.
- Design and drive synchronous and asynchronous APIs and event-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams internationally on technical designs, standards, processes, and features.
- Own workstreams, communicate progress, and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices.
- Participate in production support and an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Strong coding fundamentals and experience delivering high-quality software projects.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Pulumi, AWS CDK, and Terraform.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services and exposure to streaming, messaging, or event-driven architecture.
- Ability to work independently, solve complex problems collaboratively, and communicate effectively.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, SNS/SQS, HTTP and API technologies, OpenSpec, AsyncAPI, serverless computing, cloud architecture patterns, microservices, event-driven architecture, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in an e-commerce environment where reliability is critical is advantageous.
