Responsibilities
- Determine user requirements with relevant stakeholders and customers.
- Drive dependency identification and design documentation for products, applications, services, and platforms.
- Create, implement, optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance, maintainability, effectiveness, and ROI.
- Partner with stakeholders to develop project plans, release plans, and work items.
- Act as a Designated Responsible Individual, guide engineers, monitor systems on call, communicate service status, and initiate restoration actions.
- Improve product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, performance, monitoring consistency, and operations at scale.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of professional development experience.
- Experience with C++, C#, big data, machine learning, natural language processing, and search technologies.
- Strong analytical skills, customer engagement ability, and cross-functional collaboration experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Cloud Services, Azure, Entra, and O365.
- Security awareness, including penetration testing and threat analysis.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Technical software engineering experience with interest in cloud technologies and AI.
- Previous Software Development Engineer experience and experience working with geographically dispersed, agile engineering teams are preferred.
- Understanding of cloud, AI, and other computing technologies, including business drivers and emerging trends.
- Ability to work independently, build relationships with senior technical and business leaders, and communicate fluently in English.
