Base Salary

$180k - $230k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the long-term technical vision and architectural roadmap for the Cloud Platform.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority across all cloud engineering domains.
  • Drive cross-team technical alignment and establish engineering standards.
  • Lead major architectural initiatives focusing on scalability, resilience, and security.
  • Partner with leadership to align technical strategy with business priorities.
  • Identify and resolve systemic architectural challenges and technical debt.
  • Guide the design and implementation of complex distributed systems.
  • Champion the adoption of GenAI-based tools across the organization.
  • Mentor engineers and lead architecture reviews and technical planning.
  • Act as the highest technical escalation point for complex issues.
  • Champion security-first architecture and operational excellence.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies to evolve platform capabilities.
  • Drive a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering and cloud architecture.
  • Proven success in leading technical strategy across multiple teams.
  • Significant experience with enterprise-scale cloud platforms on GCP.
  • Prior experience in a Principal Engineer or equivalent leadership role.
  • Expert-level software engineering skills in Go and Python.
  • Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture and distributed systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of GCP services and infrastructure automation.
  • Advanced experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Proven ability to architect and scale secure cloud systems.
  • Deep understanding of APIs, microservices, and messaging technologies.
  • Strong Linux systems expertise and troubleshooting skills.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and technical decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
