Responsibilities
- Influence the roadmap and contribute to career and product objectives.
- Deliver new features and iteratively improve them using customer and operational feedback.
- Drive projects from initial ideation through deployment and ongoing operations.
- Design, build, operate, and maintain critical distributed systems with ownership of reliability, performance, and availability.
- Participate in on-call rotations and own the services operated by the team.
- Contribute to open-source projects beyond the immediate team’s scope.
- Mentor teammates, participate in design discussions, and collaborate in a remote environment.
Requirements
- Solid experience with at least one programming language; Grafana primarily uses Go, while Python, Java, C++, Rust, or similar experience is also relevant.
- Some experience delivering projects from requirements gathering and ideation through shipping to customers.
- Some experience developing cloud software or working in systems engineering.
- Experience writing clean, robust, performant, and maintainable software.
- Customer focus, pragmatic problem-solving ability, self-direction, collaboration, and strong communication skills.
