Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to the Capital Markets–Equities development teams.
  • Design and code proprietary applications and services for the equity market-making and trading platform.
  • Lead greenfield development, legacy-system consolidation, re-platforming, and cloud migration initiatives.
  • Automate build and deployment processes in collaboration with platform engineering.
  • Own software quality and champion automated testing with developers and SDETs.
  • Act as Scrum Master by managing backlogs, ceremonies, and impediments.
  • Mentor and upskill team members and support adoption of modern cloud-native development practices.
  • Ensure compliance with FCA requirements, internal policies, operational risk controls, and conduct standards.

Requirements

  • Experienced technical lead and hands-on full-stack software engineer with front-end and back-end expertise.
  • Essential experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, SQL, WPF, and Linux.
  • Experience with Node.js, AWS, RabbitMQ, AMQ, MongoDB, Bitbucket/Git, SQL Server, Jira, APIs, HTTP/REST, JSON, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, CI/CD, automation-first delivery, BDD/TDD, and DORA practices.
  • Desirable experience with Java, Vue, Angular, .NET Core, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Azure, GCP, NoSQL, DNS, serverless, PaaS, event-driven systems, publish/subscribe, WebSockets, and ADRs.
  • Understanding or advocacy of Agentic AI and context engineering, including tools such as CoPilot, Claude, and Codex, is desirable.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and understanding related risk and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, relationship-building, influencing, and ownership skills.
