Base Salary
$114k - $172k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, secure enterprise distributed-system solutions under senior technical guidance.
- Implement security-focused solutions using scripting, machine data analytics, log analysis, and engineering best practices.
- Lead or contribute to log analysis, intrusion detection, security analytics, and service availability initiatives.
- Apply DevOps tooling, API scripting, infrastructure automation, and security protocols to operational challenges.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on enterprise-scale systems focused on scalability, performance, and security.
- Develop technical proposals and implementation timelines, participate in code reviews and design discussions, and troubleshoot complex reliability and security issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations with senior engineer support for critical security incidents.
- Support data-driven decision-making, digital transformation, and secure platforms for internal teams.
Requirements
- Successfully completed a Summer 2026 internship with F5.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related technical field, or additional relevant experience.
- Must be able to start no later than September 30, 2027.
- Demonstrated scripting and development experience using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and tooling, software development and systems engineering principles, distributed systems, and scalability.
- Exposure to security protocols and security best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while developing independent skills.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms is a plus.
- Experience with Terraform or Chef is a plus.
- Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, and prompts is a plus.
