Responsibilities
- Design and evolve public and internal APIs for Incard’s App Store.
- Build payments, analytics, workflow, and automation API catalogs.
- Develop scalable backend services using TypeScript and Go.
- Design secure, versioned, consistent, and developer-friendly APIs with appropriate permissions, scopes, rate limits, and extensibility.
- Own backend features from design through production and break down platform initiatives into deliverables.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Frontend, Mobile, and Data teams.
- Build resilient, observable, and safe systems and contribute to monitoring, logging, alerting, code reviews, documentation, examples, and developer experience.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience in production systems.
- Strong TypeScript experience.
- Proven experience building APIs and backend platforms.
- Experience with scalable, distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of API design, versioning, and backward compatibility.
- Product-minded approach with an understanding of developer experience.
- Clear communication and effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Preferred: experience with an App Store, marketplace, developer ecosystem, fintech, payments, analytics platforms, event-driven architectures, workflow systems, SDKs, webhooks, developer tooling, or Go.
