Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity simulation software for NASA human spaceflight and aerospace programs.
- Implement and maintain features from Git-managed work items.
- Participate in peer code reviews and collaborative software development.
- Contribute to automated testing and continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Support simulation investigations involving crew stability, lunar vehicles, microgravity, dynamics, and ISS training systems.
- Collaborate with software, physics, robotics, biomechanics, computer graphics, aerospace, NASA, and mission stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience in simulations, software development, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in C++.
- Experience with Linux-based environments and familiarity with Git.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python.
- Solid foundation in physics and mathematics.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and independent-work skills.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency due to the federal position.
- Preferred: exposure to AI/ML concepts, SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, the Trick simulation framework, and graphics engines such as Unity, Unreal Engine, or EDGE.
