Base Salary
$98k - $148k/yr
Responsibilities
- Operate and improve an AWS-based platform supporting internal engineering, research, and mission teams.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code and GitOps workflows using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Support CI/CD pipelines for platform and application workloads.
- Maintain platform reliability, security, observability, high availability, and cyber resilience.
- Guide internal teams in adopting and effectively using shared cloud platforms.
- Improve incident response processes, reliability initiatives, runbooks, escalation paths, and mean time to recovery.
- Provide platform interfaces and support while tenant teams retain responsibility for application-level incidents and vulnerability mitigation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, plus at least two years of related experience; an advanced degree with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may qualify.
- Hands-on experience working in AWS.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Ansible, and GitOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines supporting platform and application workloads.
- Strong ability to multitask, adapt to evolving requirements, and communicate effectively.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government security clearance within one year of hire and be a U.S. citizen for clearance eligibility.
- Preferred qualifications include CMMC or high-side platform operations, internal developer platforms, self-service interfaces, national security or government sponsor work, reliability initiatives, incident response, observability, and shared incident management.
- An active Secret clearance is preferred.
