Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy software projects.
- Design and implement scalable backend and frontend systems, including microservices and distributed architectures.
- Lead projects, resolve technical challenges, and act as an escalation point for less experienced staff.
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and managers to achieve technical and client goals.
- Apply testing, secure coding, monitoring, diagnostics, and responsible AI practices.
- Deliver components and modules independently while meeting SLAs and deadlines.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, databases, and container technologies.
- Experience with backend architecture, microservices, messaging systems, caching, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with Angular or React, TypeScript, responsive UI development, component-based architecture, and single-page applications.
- Knowledge of CQRS, domain-driven design, API gateway patterns, circuit breakers, service discovery, resiliency, performance tuning, and high availability.
- Experience with Azure, CI/CD tooling, automated build and release processes, and GitHub-based source control.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Copilot or AI-assisted development tools and responsible enterprise AI usage.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, API validation, secure coding, application security, logging, monitoring, and diagnostics.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and independent ownership skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and delivering SOW-driven engagements while meeting SLAs and deadlines.
