Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for AI software platforms and cloud deployment patterns supporting Supply Chain and Enterprise Digital.
- Define architecture, engineering standards, deployment patterns, and delivery strategy for AI, ML, GenAI, APIs, and enterprise data products.
- Build and review reusable libraries, orchestration patterns, model-serving interfaces, APIs, and platform accelerators.
- Own lakehouse architecture, Unity Catalog governance, MLflow lifecycle management, feature and data product packaging, vector search, observability, and release automation.
- Establish AI/ML/LLMOps practices covering testing, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, versioning, evaluation, monitoring, incident response, and rollback.
- Integrate SAP and enterprise data sources into trusted data products, feature engineering pipelines, semantic layers, and decision-support services.
- Partner with product, architecture, cybersecurity, quality, validation, infrastructure, and business stakeholders on secure, compliant solutions.
- Mentor engineers and develop reusable standards, frameworks, accelerators, and a practical AI, Data, and Automation Center of Excellence.
- Improve reliability, scalability, developer experience, data quality, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field, with equivalent deep technical experience considered.
- 7+ years of software, data, or AI engineering experience, including 4+ years delivering production ML, GenAI, analytics, automation, or data-intensive systems.
- Expert proficiency in Python and SQL plus experience with Java, Scala, or TypeScript.
- Hands-on frontend engineering experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and a modern framework such as React, Angular, Vue, or Svelte.
- Hands-on backend experience designing production APIs and services using Python, Node.js, Java, Scala, or comparable technologies.
- Experience architecting and operating LLM/GenAI systems with RAG, agents, tool use, embeddings, vector search, evaluation, guardrails, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop controls.
- Strong cloud architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including access management, networking, secrets management, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and production support.
- Experience designing secure, compliant, auditable systems in regulated environments, including GxP, data integrity, validation documentation, and change control.
- Preferred experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical manufacturing, supply chain, quality, or another regulated operational domain.
- Preferred experience with SAP supply chain data and integration, Databricks Asset Bundles, Terraform, Databricks SQL, feature stores, vector search, model monitoring, and lakehouse governance.
- Preferred expertise in forecasting, optimization, simulation, anomaly detection, scheduling, inventory, logistics, or decision intelligence.
- Preferred track record mentoring senior engineers and influencing technical direction across global teams.

- The salary range is $145,900.00–$234,200.00 annually, with potential discretionary bonus, incentive compensation, or equity eligibility.
