Base Salary
$75k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Independently execute software engineering assignments and design algorithms using modern theory and established software practices.
- Analyze designs, develop and execute software tests, and produce technical documentation such as procedures, reports, manuals, and drawings.
- Communicate with customers and stakeholders to establish requirements and explain designs and deliverables.
- Drive solutions to complex problems, contribute to requirements development, and adapt to changing requirements.
- Contribute to system architecture decisions and lead the architecture of software subsystems.
- Identify technical risks and develop and execute mitigation strategies.
- Mentor less experienced staff and provide constructive feedback.
- Lead a small team of software developers on projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required.
- 5–10 years of experience in software engineering or a related field is required.
- Strong Java or Kotlin skills are preferred.
- C and C++ experience is a plus, along with DevOps skills and experience with Docker or Podman and Git.
- Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies quickly and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; Secret clearance is preferred.
- A master's degree is preferred.
