Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, test, debug, and release high-quality React Native mobile applications.
- Build reusable components and scalable mobile solutions using modern libraries, frameworks, and architectural patterns.
- Optimize rendering, startup time, responsiveness, memory usage, stability, large lists, and complex UI interactions.
- Troubleshoot issues across JavaScript and native layers on iOS and Android, including work with TurboModules when required.
- Use profiling and debugging tools to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Partner with Product, Design, Backend, and engineering teams to translate requirements into maintainable technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, design decisions, and improvements to engineering workflows and release quality.
- Share mobile engineering knowledge and provide guidance to junior engineers when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in software, frontend, or mobile engineering.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience building production applications with React Native.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of React Native fundamentals.
- Understanding of mobile application architecture, rendering, state management, and performance optimization.
- Experience troubleshooting React Native issues across JavaScript and native layers and optimizing render cycles, memory usage, and responsiveness.
- Experience with FlashList, React Native Reanimated, React Native Gesture Handler, and Expo.
- Proficiency with Flipper, React DevTools, and Chrome DevTools.
- Familiarity with iOS and Android platform fundamentals.
- Preferred exposure to TurboModules and native iOS or Android development.
- Preferred experience with consumer-facing mobile applications, performance profiling, native SDKs or modules, the New React Native Architecture, mobile CI/CD, observability, and high-scale applications.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
