Responsibilities
- Develop payment features and services for a merchant payment gateway.
- Design and implement internal and external APIs and maintain Camunda processes.
- Integrate external payment providers, payment systems, gateways, processors, and 3DS.
- Design and develop high-load architectures and optimize system scalability, performance, and database queries.
- Support and enhance existing services while diagnosing and resolving production incidents and bugs.
- Write high-quality code with unit and integration test coverage, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with QA.
- Analyze provider documentation, conduct proofs of concept, and define technical and business epics.
- Prepare detailed implementation tasks, align them with architectural and business requirements, and estimate delivery timelines.
- Participate in sprint planning and collaborate with analysts, product managers, team leads, and architects.
- Maintain technical documentation and specifications, assist with onboarding developers, and help ensure code quality and PCI DSS compliance.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of commercial development experience with Kotlin.
- Experience with the Spring Framework and payment solutions such as billing, payment gateways, payment processors, or exchanges.
- Practical experience integrating with external providers.
- Experience designing and optimizing relational databases, particularly MySQL, and experience with NoSQL databases, particularly Redis.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude, Codex, ChatGPT, or Codeium, with the ability to critically review generated code for production quality and company-standard compliance.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and experience with distributed messaging systems such as Apache Kafka.
- Strong command of software development and design principles, test-driven development, CI/CD processes, and microservice architecture.
- Preferred: experience with Camunda, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, AWS, Jira, and GitLab CI/CD.
