Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, review, and debug secure, high-quality production software.
- Build Java and React solutions using AWS cloud-native infrastructure.
- Lead adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Establish validation standards for AI outputs, secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and responsible AI use.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring application and system issues to improve operational stability.
- Partner with product, security, data, platform, and operations teams to deliver secure and compliant solutions.
- Own remediation of vulnerabilities, dependency upgrades, test coverage gaps, and other engineering hygiene issues.
- Contribute across the software development life cycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and operations.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with applied experience.
- Strong hands-on Java software engineering experience.
- Front-end visualization experience with React or a similar technology.
- Practical experience with AWS ECS, EKS, S3, Kubernetes, containers, and Terraform.
- Experience leading AI-assisted software development practices and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
- Understanding of responsible AI engineering workflows, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across design, development, testing, deployment, and operations in a large corporate environment.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and software quality skills.
- Preferred: Python experience for data processing, automation, and service integration.
- Preferred: Expertise in Agile/Scrum practices, including ceremonies, backlog hygiene, and flow-based execution.
- Preferred: Working knowledge of Snowflake data warehousing.
