Responsibilities
- Develop and support software solutions for the Global Collateral Engineering team.
- Partner with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, requirements, and technical issues.
- Analyze information and recommend solutions to business and technical problems.
- Participate in team discussions and provide subject-matter guidance and expert opinions.
- Coordinate coding, unit testing, implementation, and solution documentation.
- Ensure expected application performance levels are achieved.
- Follow BNY’s standard development methodology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 5–10 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java 8 or higher and front-end UI technologies.
- Experience with Core JavaScript, Angular 11 or higher, JavaScript frameworks, CSS, and HTML.
- Experience with the Spring Framework and proficiency with Spring Boot.
- Solid coding and troubleshooting experience with REST APIs.
- Strong SQL skills for working with relational databases.
- Experience with DevOps processes and tools such as Git and CI/CD tools.
- Understanding of monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, and Moogsoft.
- Knowledge of Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, troubleshooting, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to work independently and learn new skills.
