Base Salary

$117k - $251k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team and contribute hands-on across requirements definition, design, implementation, integration, testing, and documentation.
  • Research, design, develop, modify, and evaluate embedded software for communications systems alongside hardware product development.
  • Design, simulate, analyze, and implement DSP algorithms and real-time signal-processing solutions for radio communications products.
  • Perform requirements analysis, use-case development, conceptual design, trade studies, testing, operation, maintenance, and reliability analysis.
  • Translate customer requirements into systems solutions while balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to evaluate hardware/software interfaces and overall system performance.
  • Develop software testing procedures and design documentation.
  • Work with test, manufacturing, product, and program management teams to deliver high-quality radio products.
  • Contribute to DSP strategy, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead software development activities within an Agile Scrum team and support team planning, coaching, performance tracking, and course correction.
  • Analyze and debug software and related hardware issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and at least 9 years of relevant experience developing real-time embedded software in C or C++; alternatively, a graduate degree and at least 7 years of related experience, or 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with digital signal processing, waveform design, embedded C/C++, and MATLAB.
  • Experience leading collaborative software design, development, and test teams.
  • Experience designing, developing, implementing, simulating, and analyzing DSP algorithms.
  • Experience with multithreaded or multicore design and/or real-time operating systems.
  • Experience across the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, testing, unit testing, and automation tools.
  • Experience with Agile software development and Scrum.
  • Ability to interpret hardware schematics, circuit designs, and datasheets.
  • Experience with FPGA design, development, and test teams, radio communications, or IP networking is preferred.
  • Experience with CMMI or other defined software development processes is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance.
