Base Salary

$220k - $260k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical design, development, integration, and validation of real-time RF sensor systems using C/C++.
  • Integrate signal-processing algorithms into open architecture software frameworks and transition MATLAB/Python prototypes into optimized production implementations.
  • Define and execute integration tests and system-level validation tests for real-time, multithreaded, distributed, and hardware-connected systems.
  • Debug software issues and establish practices for software quality, configuration management, test automation, documentation, and technical risk management.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with government sponsors, customers, program managers, and technical stakeholders to define requirements, communicate status, and present results.
  • Contribute to proposal development, including technical approaches, work-breakdown planning, technical writing, cost estimation, white papers, and customer presentations.
  • Develop user interfaces, dashboards, and visualization tools supporting observability, test execution, data analysis, and integration workflows.
  • Support system demonstrations and field-testing activities, including approximately 10% travel.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship is required by the government.
  • Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with stated experience requirements depending on degree.
  • At least 10 years of professional software development experience, including leadership of complex software development, integration, and test efforts.
  • Expert-level programming proficiency for high-performance, real-time applications.
  • Experience with Git and Linux.
  • Experience developing or integrating real-time software for signal-processing, embedded, distributed, or hardware-connected systems.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, debugging, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Experience contributing substantially to proposal efforts, technical writing, technical approaches, cost estimation, and customer presentations.
  • Preferred qualifications include an active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance, Python or MATLAB proficiency, hands-on hardware testing, signal processing, RF sensor-system architectures, real-time or embedded software, multithreaded programming and synchronization, open architecture principles, and technical UI, dashboard, visualization, usability, or human-machine-interface experience.
