Base Salary
$162k - $290k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own outcomes from customer problem definition through shipped and measured features across firmware, Go backend services, and web and mobile surfaces.
- Drive technology choices, implement embedded and firmware solutions, and establish architecture across device-to-cloud products.
- Build voice-powered AI Agents and ensure edge AI algorithms operate accurately within device constraints.
- Design systems spanning device constraints, connectivity, cloud services, and fleet-scale rollout.
- Partner with Hardware, Backend, Web, Mobile, Product, and Customer Success teams to deliver next-generation products.
- Lead complex, high-impact projects, solve difficult technical problems, mentor engineers, and raise team effectiveness and AI fluency.
- Influence technology direction, engineering culture, and product capabilities that contribute to company revenue.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying software, including deep embedded systems and firmware expertise.
- At least two years of experience in a technical leadership or architecture role.
- Deep expertise in an embedded domain such as multimedia, connectivity, drivers and kernel, power, or real-time systems.
- Experience shipping across firmware, Go backend services, and web or mobile surfaces.
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, Go, Python, or similar languages.
- Product and systems thinking with experience shipping complete products and reasoning about device, connectivity, cloud, and fleet-scale constraints.
- Experience leading complex projects with multiple dependencies and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience working under scarce compute, data, hardware, or other resource constraints.
- Preferred: expertise in multimedia frameworks, video codecs, camera systems, large-scale embedded systems deployed on more than one million devices, edge CV/ML model deployment, and scarce-resource industries such as robotics, drones, consumer electronics, or automotive.
