Responsibilities
- Manage designated technology application portfolios, including configuration, maintenance, monitoring, reengineering, enhancements, and upgrades.
- Provide application analysis, architectural design, technical leadership, and support for software implementation projects.
- Develop, administer, and support applications and systems using the .NET Framework and database technologies.
- Lead or contribute to LIMS, specimen management, laboratory instrument interface, ERP, CRM, and other enterprise software initiatives.
- Work with technical and business departments to translate requirements into delivered solutions.
- Participate in the software development life cycle and defined IT processes and procedures.
- Provide guidance and knowledge transfer to peers in areas of expertise.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for break/fix ticket resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or equivalent experience and training.
- Up to 3 years of application and system development and management experience for Level I; 3–7 years for Level II; or 7+ years for the Senior level.
- Database experience utilizing the .NET Framework.
- Experience with software development life cycle methodologies, with proven experience leading medium to large software implementation tasks or projects at higher levels.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred experience with SQL Server or Oracle; LIMS such as STARLiMS, Harvest, or Copia; specimen management systems; laboratory instrument interfaces; HL7; Corepoint; ERP or CRM systems such as GreatPlains, SalesForce, or Carevoyant; and MS Project.
- Customer-service orientation, attention to detail, flexibility, structured writing skills, and the ability to solve complex business problems using analytical reasoning.
