Base Salary

$150k - $203k/yr

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of scalable, high-quality software for critical nuclear energy applications.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
Architect new features, write efficient code, participate in code reviews, and drive implementations from concept through deployment.
Integrate software with hardware systems, control systems, external interfaces, and other software components.
Implement rigorous testing, debugging, documentation, and quality practices aligned with nuclear industry regulations and internal standards.
Identify and resolve complex performance and system issues.
Create and maintain design specifications, architecture diagrams, and testing protocols.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
At least 7 years of progressive software development experience.
Experience developing software for highly regulated, safety-critical, or mission-critical industries; direct nuclear industry experience is highly preferred.
Proficiency in one or more of JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
Experience across full software development life cycles and with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Strong understanding of software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, software architecture, quality assurance, and testing methodologies.
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Ability to debug and troubleshoot complex software systems and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred experience includes offline-capable or air-gapped applications, constrained or containerized deployments, physical security system integration, production AI or ML features, and nuclear, critical infrastructure, defense, or physical security domains.
