Base Salary
$160k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design software interfaces between robot applications and sensors, actuators, embedded controllers, and communication buses.
- Design and integrate mechatronic systems, mechanisms, electrical subsystems, and test fixtures.
- Integrate and debug robotic systems across software, embedded, networking, electrical, and mechanical domains.
- Diagnose performance, reliability, timing, and hardware-interface issues across the robot stack.
- Drive system reliability and scalability through testing and root-cause analysis.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on robotics experience in industry, academia, or research labs, including building, integrating, and deploying real robotic systems.
- Experience developing drivers, hardware abstraction layers, or software interfaces for sensors, actuators, or embedded devices.
- Hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2, real-time or embedded Linux, fieldbus or device communications, distributed middleware, sensor/actuator integration, and performance optimization.
- Ability to design and troubleshoot basic electrical circuits and mechanical components for robotic systems.
- Strong debugging, system integration, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Bonus: experience with humanoids, mobile manipulators, Linux kernel development, kernel modules, device drivers, low-level systems software, distributed robotic systems, AI-enabled robotic systems, teleoperation/data-collection devices, or real-world robot data pipelines.
