Base Salary
$160k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of core robotics platform software supporting perception, planning, control, and fleet services.
- Analyze performance and debug hardware/software issues across Linux-based systems to ensure reliability and real-time behavior.
- Develop deployment, telemetry, monitoring, DDS configuration, and OS or hypervisor-level integration components.
- Plan the technical roadmap, mentor engineers, and guide architectural decisions across the robotics platform.
- Conduct code reviews and uphold software quality, maintainability, robustness, and testability standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping production-quality software, focused on Linux-based systems.
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ and Python for performance-critical and systems-level software.
- Experience with large, complex systems and tooling for development, deployment, and observability.
- Demonstrated commitment to software quality, testability, robustness, and long-term maintainability.
- ROS-based robotics development experience is a bonus qualification.
- Linux kernel and module development experience is a bonus qualification.
- DDS configuration, optimization, or implementation experience is a bonus qualification.
