Base Salary
$122k - $146k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs supporting mission-critical business capabilities.
- Build and enhance microservices and distributed systems using modern software engineering practices.
- Work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL databases, Kafka, Elasticsearch, AWS, and containerized environments.
- Contribute to cloud-native architecture focused on scale, availability, security, and reliability.
- Write clean, maintainable, testable, and documented code and participate in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver sustainable long-term solutions.
- Apply DevOps practices including automated testing, deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD.
- Own projects from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of professional software development experience, preferably building backend or distributed applications.
- Strong programming experience in Java and/or Python and knowledge of object-oriented design and software engineering fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, and API design.
- Experience building and supporting APIs, microservices, cloud-based applications, relational databases, and SQL optimization.
- Exposure to NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch, distributed data technologies, event-driven architectures, and Kafka.
- Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform, infrastructure-as-code, DevOps practices, CI/CD, automated testing, and containerization.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively in an agile, collaborative environment.
- Preferred qualifications include Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, database modernization, highly scalable or data-intensive systems, fintech or payments experience, open-source or personal technology projects, and AI-assisted development tools.

- The role includes a base pay range of $121,500.00 to $145,500.00, with non-sales roles typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus.
